JEFF SCOTT SOTO To Appear On New TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA Album

Legendary hard rock vocalist Jeff Scott Soto (JOURNEY, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TALISMAN) has issued the following update via his official newsletter:

"Jeff has just returned from Florida after spending a few days with the TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA creator and producer Paul O'Neill. It seems Jeff will be a feature voice on the upcoming, long awaited TSO album/production (called 'Nightcastle'). Jeff is NOT part of the upcoming tour though, just the album. This is exciting news as those who know of TSO have witnessed a spectacular like no other production in the world.

"For those who have little info on it, TSO are a world-renowned symphonic, classical rock band comprised of over 60 members including full orchestra, four guitar players, 18 singers, etc., who have recorded and performed original & classic compositions since 1996. Jon Anderson (YES),Geoff Tate (QUEENSRŸCHE),Michael Crawford (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA),Jewel and many other known artists are linked to this extravaganza and Jeff couldn't be more proud to now be part of the family.

"The album's concept, songs and even details are completely confidential and no info can or will be given here until further notice but you will hear Jeff in a whole different light on the end result, it is another very exciting chapter in the JSS legacy.

"For those of you who don't already know, Jeff has made some demos for his new solo album available on his MySpace page which has a direct link from his website. Make sure that you join his blog group for up to date news from the man himself!"

Soto recently posted this on the MelodicRock.com message board regarding these tracks: "As long as everyone remembers they are ALL demos, exactly that, previews of what works and what doesn't. I like MySpace in that I can use it as a testing ground, kinda like when movie studios let audiences preview the film for reactions and know where they have to make final cuts and edits before the theatrical release. The Internet is the new wave of media promotion, why not use it to its fullest capacity? I don't worry about the download factor 'cuz as they are demos, the production on the album versions will be 100 times more smoking I enjoy reading the reactions. I can already see what the strengths and weaknesses are, thanks!"
